This Tony Award-winning musical brings the cultural peace movement to life through song and dance. Hair is a fun and exciting musical that you’re sure to enjoy.  “ Hair won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival as well as Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critic’s Circle Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical. Hair was also nominated for an additional seven Tony Awards including Best Direction, Best Choreography, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design. The cast recording was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.”

The musical profiles the lives of various colorful characters, created by Gerome Ragni and Jamie Rado and directed by Diane Paulus, all of who are activists working for free love and peace. Hair boasts the talents of many young actors including Dionne (Phyre Hawkins), Berger (Steel Burkhardt), Woof (Mart DeAngellis), Hud (Darius Nichols), Claude (Paris Remillard), Sheila (Caren Lyn Tackett), Jeanie (Kacie Sheik), and Crissy (Kaitlin Klyan). Their inspired performances of iconic songs “Aquarius,” “Hair,” “Good Morning Starshine” and “Let the Sunshine In” composed by Galt MacDermot, preach a message of peace, set to thrilling and upbeat melodies. Directing these musical numbers are Music Director/Conductor David Truskinoff and Music Coordinator Seymour Red Press.
