Elevation 2016 is the annual music, art and fashion benefit for The Chicago Academy of Music that brings together renowned artists to intersect across their respective fields. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, June 18, at 231 South LaSalle, from 6pm-12am. A VIP reception will kick-off the evening followed by original live performances, a  fashion show and dancing along with the Elevation Awards presentation. Elevation 2016 will support CAM's  music and education programs and it's cultural initiatives.

Ntozake Shange is an American playwright, poet and performance artist  best known for her Obie Award-winning play, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf.” Her work mainly addresses issues of race and feminism. Sandro Miller, an international and Lucie Foundation award-winning photographer, is best known for his expressive images along with his 2014 project titled “Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich: Homage to Photographic Masters.”
