As Candace Collins, Jordan was featured as a Playboy centerfold; Miss December of 1979 and a cover girl for Playboy and its many international editions numerous times and was selected as Chicago's Playboy "Bunny of the Year” in 1976.  She was also featured on a JVC billboard in Times Square and appeared in "Risky Business" with Tom Cruise.

Candace Collins married Chuck Jordan, a successful ad agency exec in 1989 in Chicago where they make their home. In the last decade she has consistently been named to a variety of “best dressed” lists in Chicago publications.

Jordan became interested in blogging after a brief stint at a local magazine as fashion editor and stylist. It was there that she was first introduced to blogging, and she is determined to utilize her extensive industry knowledge and flair for fashion and fun in her new forum.

“I love blogging—I feel I have always been a photojournalist at heart so I’m very excited to launch,” said Jordan. “For me, recounting events on my blog through photos I have taken at each event is like attending them all over again and I hope that my present and future readers will enjoy it as much as I do!”

Candace excited about her new venture

In addition to running her blog, Jordan is very involved with a number of organizations throughout Chicago. She currently sits on the development board of PAWS Chicago, which is the City’s largest no-kill animal shelter and is a member of the Parkways Foundation, which is dedicated to enriching the physical and cultural landscape of Chicago’s neighborhoods.

She also serves as an executive board member for both the Joffrey Ballet and Common Threads. The Joffrey introduces a uniquely American style of dance and features ballets from the great choreographers of the 20th Century. Common Threads’ mission is to educate children about the importance of nutrition and well-being and to foster cultural diversity through the art of cooking. This year, Jordan will also chair the Joffrey’s Couture & Cocktails event, co-chair the Service Club Ball and serve as a contributor to the Department of Cultural Affairs’ Fashion Focus 2008.  “Splash” readers will learn all about Candace in future blogs!
