25th Anniversary Film Debut of Miss Saigon – Before It Hits Broadway

Miss Saigon lovers get ready! The beloved musical returns to the Broadway stage in celebration of its 25th anniversary,  March, 2017. However, fans can see the new stage production on the big screen when Miss Saigon: The 25th Anniversary Performance arrives in select theaters nationwide for a one-night cinematic event.


Shot in front of a live audience at the blockbuster musical's sell-out 25th Anniversary Performance at London's Prince Edward Theater, the new film makes the story more thrilling than ever before. Thanks to the upcoming film debut on Thursday, Sept. 22, fans across the U.S. will get the rare chance to experience the powerful musical from the comfort of their local movie theater.

The acclaimed new staging of Miss Saigon was one of the most highly-anticipated musical events London’s West End has seen in recent years and was described as “the most thrilling, soaring and emotionally stirring musical with magnificent performances” by the Daily Telegraph and “the greatest musical of all time” by the Daily Mail.

This epic love story tells the tragic tale of young bar girl Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with American GI Chris – but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. Audiences will be mesmerized by the extremely talented cast of Jon Jon Briones as The Engineer, Eva Noblezada as Kim, Alistair Brammer as Chris, Hugh Maynard as John, Tamsin Carroll as Ellen and Rachelle Ann Go as Gigi. The film will include a special star-studded anniversary finale - a "must see" for all fans of Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg’s legendary musical! An epic finale features special appearances from original cast members Jonathan Pryce, Lea Salonga and Simon Bowman.

"The screening of the concert, hosted by Fathom Events, will be shown in select movie theaters on Thursday, September 22nd, at 7:30pm. The run time of the film is 2 hours and 50 minutes (approximate)."
