Melanie and Derek are the warm hosts of the establishment. They welcome their guests warmly, all of whom are treated with great care.

Melanie's smile lights up the room as she welcomed us in. We have just arrived and already it feels like we are in a friend's luxurious home, about to have a very special time.

Derek has a host of stories of his time in the military, and it his sense of humour adds to the telling. Melanie's experiences around the world, that include a time where she lived in Italy, have given her a special grace and ease when dealing with guests. It is clearly a joy of hers.

We were excited to try Morgan and Wells morning breakfast.I had heard great reviews about it, especially of their Chef Fred Reeves of Divine Culture Cuisine. who is known to whip up succulent encounters on a plate!

Chef Reeves banana bread served with blueberries was a winner!

Their 4-star, world renowned restaurant located on the first floor. Meals are prepared and served restaurant style by the chef.

We were soon to discover that Chef Reeves truly did not disappoint.

As we sat in the gorgeous dining area with it's elegant European flair, Melanie catered to us with the flair of a skilled hostess.

She weaved in and out from the kitchen to the dining area, bringing more plates with delicious goodies that Chef Reeves had just whipped up.

We were served a variety of dishes including the typical Southern style bacon and grits along with freshly cut fruits, freshly made banana bread as well as made to order eggs.

Through our conversations we soon discover that Morgan and Wells has a unique history behind it. It is a historic home that has unique details and a style from the 1900's. That explained the creative details I noticed in the ceilings, walls and lights that were all reflective of another era.

For the sake of preserving it's unique features, the 230-ton house was moved down Morgan Street. It was moved to it's new location on the corner of Morgan and Wells streets. Hence, it's unique name.

Melanie shares the details of this momentous accomplishment. In the span of a day, and to the awe of the spectators watching, the historical home was transported across the street to rest in it's new home. Quite a sight, besides being a moment to remember for a lifetime.
