On Sunday, November 20th, I took my family for a fun filled day at Knott’s Berry Farm for their annual holiday celebration, Knott’s Merry Farm.  The park was transformed into a Christmas themed winter wonderland of twinkling lights, wreaths, garland and ornaments, immersing guests into a joyful holiday atmosphere.

As we explored the park, we were delighted to find that each section showcased its own special Christmas themed attraction:

Stop into Camp Snoopy and have your picture taken with your favorite Peanuts character.

See Ghost Town transformed into Christmas in Calico, a holiday fair of unique arts and crafts vendors, live glass blowing demonstrations, power chainsaw sculpting and The Calico Carolers singing your favorite classic Christmas tunes in perfect harmony while it snows above Town Hall.

The Wilderness Lodge, in Ghost Town, is transformed into Santa’s Christmas Cabin where guests snack on holiday themed treats like freshly-baked cookies and milk, chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick, hot chocolate with marshmallows, and for the grown-ups, a seasonal craft beer, and a glass of port or hot spiced wine.

And, of course, don’t forget to have your photo taken with good ol’ Saint Nick!

Be sure and visit Jacqueline, just outside Santa’s Christmas Cabin, and try one of her homemade cinnamon or maple brown sugar lollipops!  Mmmmmm…..

Head over to one of Knott’s Merry Farm’s many live entertainment theaters and take in a fantastic Christmas themed show!

As the sun is setting, and you have had your fill of the many thrill rides Knott’s has to offer, Xcelerator is one of my personal favorites, make sure and head back to the edge of Calico Park for the dazzling Tree Lighting Ceremony.  The Calico Bell Choir and the Citizens of Calico join together around the tree for an illuminating celebration filled with joy and holiday spirit.
