One of the benefits of living in Los Angeles are the endless beauty and travel destinations that are nearby. In just as little as a quick two-hour drive you can leave the 'city of Angels' and take off to the beautiful Palm Springs. Known for its mountains, high record heats, and not to mention all around breathtaking views Palm Springs is the perfect get away any day of the week.

One of my favorite places to stay while in Palm Springs is the Hyatt Palm Springs. Located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, the Hyatt serves as a perfect oasis for your vacation.  Surrounded by the San Jacinto mountains and located along Palm Canyon Drive, the Hyatt Palm Springs provide guests with an unforgettable one-of-a-kind experience.

This 197 all-suite hotel has many added amenities and activies for ultimate comfort. With a 24-hour fitness center, poolside cabanas, the Hyatt provides a contemporary experience and is the epitome of where 'modern architecture meets glamour'.

In addition to the many outdoor activities guests can also enjoy the Hoodoo Cocktail Garden and Share Restaurant and Lounge on site which both offer an array of delectable, fresh, locally -sourced, ingredients.

Chef James Wallace, who studied at the Culinary Institute of Portland,  has reinvented the menu and creating a unique dining experience  for your palate.

For breakfast you can expect local favorites such as 'Brioche French Toast", a homemade favorite made with Bakeshop brioche bread, cinnamon egg batter, walnuts and maple syrup. Dinner guests can also look forward to dishes such as the 'Pistachio Crusted Pacific Salmon', which features toasted pistachios, warm spinach salad, red onion jam and herb aioli. Original creations are what this establishment is known for. Overlooking the pool area guests can either dine inside or out by the pool and soak in the relaxing sun.Hyatt Palm Springs.

The city is literally in 'your back yard'. Park the car and take a stroll throughout the Palm Springs, or you can rent a beach cruiser (complimentary with your stay) and ride at your own free will or ride along on of the many trails within Palm Springs.
