I recently traveled to Houston to atend a family wedding. Being able to have my own relaxing place where I could recharge after this strenuous, if joyous experience was very nice and it almost felt decadent.
Hotel Indigo has a hip feel, in a modern sort of way. There are many things in life that make me experience joy. Being welcomed by the friendly staff of Indigo Hotel gave me an air of simple guileless that I seldom find anywhere else.
As I am handed the key to my quartered suite I am all of a sudden interested. On my way there, the hallways are wide, decorated in classic, soothing colors. And you know what? I entered the doors of the Indigo with a major headache, and feeling out of sorts. Well, the conveniently placed vending machine of the hotel dispenses pain medicine along with a soda and food variety. So I settled into my suite, soon to be relieved of my aches and safely letting my trip anxiety lose in the apartment sized accommodations.
I layed on the comfortable bed covered in plush bedding, and began to admire the large work space, flat screen television and the simple yet classic design of the whole space. I took mental stock of this plenitude and also noticed that my headache had disappeared.
It really felt like a home where I was temporarily staying. The large living room, the full kitchen, luxurious bedroom, hardwood floors, the bright and soothing color palette of the whole place disposed me to a pleasantly melancholic state.
The beautiful, large bathroom and the generous showerhead served to further soothe the weariness of travel.
Other hotel ammenities like wifi and room service made my stay perfect. Down the large hallway from the lobby, you will find the business center - a professional perk sure to be appreciated by any modern nomad as it ensures that patrons have absolutely everything they need to stay in touch.
And the Phi Bar invites one to relax in conversation with other guests, while the fitness center is a guilty reminder that yes, I could have worked out, had I not been so reclined in languid indolence over my brief stay.
Hotel Indigo in Houston is thoughtfully located at the Galleria in the Uptown District and represents a veritable urban oasis for those that happen upon the area on business or vacation. If you stay here, you’ll be glad to discover that you find yourself within walking distance to swanky shops, elegant restaurants and other eateries.
