Su Nido Inn is a quiet, comfy place perfect for intimate getaways or as a sanctuary during a hectic vacation.  It was designed not just as a place to stay but as an oasis experience, an escape from the ordinary: hence the name, which means 'your nest' in Spanish. Located in the heart of the colorful Ojai village, it's still 'tucked away', your privacy assured.

Designed in the Mission Revival style that compliments many of Ojai's architectural gems, Su Nido's spacious one and two bedroom suites are built around a charming cobblestone courtyard.

Each suite features unique decor and is between 600 and 1000 square feet in size.   The front room of our suite, the Raven Suite, featured a large flat screen television, fireplace and a love seat that you could just melt into.

The suite also featured a kitchenette complete with cork screw, coffee maker and microwave.  They also include some complimentary waters, juices and snacks.  A welcome surprise compared to the price gouging for extras practiced by the big chains.

The bathroom features a tiled mosaic of a raven also done by Simone Turner.  There was a large standing shower and a full sized, extra deep tub.  Even someone of my height, six foot plus, found the bathtub luxurious and relaxing.

Of course, the most important part of any stay is the bedroom.  If I made the rest of the suite sound like a ten, then the bed makes go up to 11.  It has another large television with a DVD player and curtains that make the room go dark at noon.  Most importantly, it has an super plush king sized bed. 

In my lifestyle, I rarely can sleep more than six hours a night.  On this bed, I managed to take a late afternoon nap and then still fall asleep at 10 o'clock.  With no alarm set and the curtains drawn, it was nearly 11 hours later when our full rested bodies began to stir.  Now when I have trouble sleeping at night, which I often do, I just think back to this bed and fall fast asleep.

If all of this quality and comfort aren't enough for you, Su Nido Inn is located a couple of blocks from downtown.  From the private guest parking lot the many attractions of downtown Ojai are only steps from the inn.  Venture out and experience Ojai's art galleries, fine dining, shopping at the landmark Arcade and entertainment at Libby Bowl. Upon request, the innkeeper will arrange tee times for you at one of two local championship golf courses.
