An urban retreat in the midst of a booming downtown scene,
Hilton Gaslamp is the closest hotel to the Convention Center, and lies just 5 blocks from
Horton Plaza, an upscale shopping mall (which appears to have been designed by M.C. Escher) which features Macy’s, Nordstroms, and a movie theater.

The food we had was just delicious. From the scrumptious Hummus Appetizer, to main dishes like Herb Stuffed Chicken Breast, which came with a side of garlic mashed potatoes that was absolutely spectacular, to delectable deserts, such as Gourmet Sorbet With Fresh Berries - our palettes were treated like kings! A rare disappointment was a Chicken Artichoke Pesto Pasta, which was a bit light on chicken, while brimming with artichokes.

Hilton Gaslamp has a heated outside pool & whirlpool, teak sundeck & oversized lounge chairs, where we lounged poolside in the perfect
San Diego spring weather. This sleek and stylish urban boutique hotel is located at the gateway to the

Valet Parking is $32.00 USD, and valet parking is the only parking option, besides metered streets.
All rooms include one king or two double beds, over-stuffed chair with ottoman, coffee maker, down comforters and down pillow top mattresses, spacious work desk, two phones, each with two lines, complimentary high speed internet access, dataport and voicemail, 42" Flat screen T.V. with premium channels, and On-Command movie service. Unfortunately there was only one HBO, which seemed a bit outdated, and no Comedy Central! There was, however, access to a panoply of movies, some currently playing in theaters, for $13.99-$19.99 each.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to experience the
