Fiji Calls -- Air Pacific Flies for $650 RT

FIJI  FOR  $650 – BEST  ROUNDTRIP  FARES  EVER
AIR PACIFIC  TEMPTS VISITORS WITH BARGAIN BASEMENT FARES

A perfect day in Fiji, on a lagoon in the Mamanuca Archipelago

Is a South Seas getaway on your vacation wish list?  Ten idyllic days on a tropical island? In that case, Fiji calls, with a Special Fare it’s hard to ignore. From now until October 31, Air Pacific is offering roundtrip fares from Los Angeles to Nadi for a mere $650 – yes, $650 per person – more than one-third off the usual fare.

Even better, your available travel dates are astonishingly generous. None of this “good for the next 30 days,” or “good Wednesdays through Sundays.”  Your $650 ticket to Fiji will be good for any day, week or month over the next SEVEN MONTHS, through March 31, 2011, with one exception: the usual holiday blackout period, from December 15 to January 15.  Unless you're willing to travel before December 15, Christmas in Fiji will have to wait.

Do I have any regrets? You bet I do, but only in hindsight. When we traveled to Fiji for two weeks last April, this fare wasn't available. Will we traveling again soon?  Better believe it.

Air Pacific is also offering a second deal, the KIDS' FLY FREE package, which is priced differently but may wind up costing families about the same. The free ticket is offered to each child traveling with an adult, who must buy a regular ticket, offered at two different price levels. You can buy these fares until September 30, and can fly any time through February 28, 2011, except over the holidays.  DON'T WAIT!  These seats are going fast.

Remember, that the fares listed above don't include the taxes and extra fees that are now added to each airline ticket, for security, facilities charges, a fuel surchange and local taxes. They're substantial, but not enough to queer a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Fiji's sun-kissed isles.  Levied by airports, cities, state and national governments, they are mandatory. Andrew, the Air Pacific reservationist I talked to, estimated that the fees on a $650 ticket would run to about $313, raising the total per ticket to $963.

If your sights are set beyond Fiji, toward the deep South Pacific, Air Pacific’s Big Sale includes the following flights departing from Los Angeles: $700 roundtrip tickets to Sydney or Brisbane, in Australia, to Apia, in Samoa and to Auckland, in New Zealand, with a FREE stopover in Fiji.  For $800, you can fly roundtrip from Los Angeles to Melbourne, in Australia and Christchurch, in New Zealand, also with a FREE Fiji stopover.  Purchase these tickets now through October 31, and travel until March 31, 2011.

It’s safe to say, Fiji will never be more affordable.

Air Pacific’s fleet, including B737s, B767s and B747s, flies to the South Pacific, Asia, North America, New Zealand and Australia. For more information, call Air Pacific reservations at (800)227-4446, or visit www.airpacific.com. For more information about Fiji, visit www.fijime.com.
