"Probably the most misunderstood housewife since Camille Grammar, I am here to get to know the real Aviva Drescher!! So join me on this "Re-aviva-L". Trust me...she's worth it!"

The world will turn and the seasons will change.  People enter and eave your life. Some become lovers, some friends and others rivals, but there is a lesson to be learned. It's tough meeting people, especially when most are like chameleons - they smile in your face but talk behind your back.

Aviva Drescher is a woman with conviction - a woman that does not know how to sell a contradiction. Her courage and strength make her beautiful, and she is no stranger to hardships and pain. From the age of six, Aviva had to suffer the pain of losing her left leg; but it has only made her stronger. She is more than a woman - she is a mother, wife and  National Spokesperson for "One Step Ahead", which is a charity for amputees. She lends her voice to inspire others, and is thoughtful, caring and considerate.  Most important is that she gives back to the community through both her charity as well as various other charities.

Aviva has been an explosive role in Bravo's "New York Housewives" Season 5, most specifically in her contentious arguments with Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer. Aviva, like a true woman apologized for her choice of words and part in arguing, but when it's two against one, emotions can get the best of you.  I believe it was the Bee Gees that said "We are living in a world of fools, breaking us down." Well I am here to tell you Aviva is not breaking, only bending...not down, but rather on her way up. Here is the beautiful, intelligent Aviva Drescher.

David
Hello lady with the brains that match your beauty. What inspired you to get into reality TV?

Aviva

My old friend Jake Spitz reccommended me to bravo. I said "No Way!!". Bethenny pushed me as well into that door. I knew I would be made into a caricature and decided to take on the headache so that I could raise awareness for amputees and all people with physical challenges and differences.

David

Do you feel the shows representation of yourself is true to your character?

Aviva

Not entirely. Where I feel viewers are most deceived is with regards to my leg and phobias. The camera captured certain clips and it appears that my leg and phobias take front row center in my life. In reality, they are very much in the background. I have always put such issues on the back burner so that I can live life to the fullest. I have friends and acquaintances for 20 years who watched the show who had no idea that I wore a prosthesis or had a fear of flying, for example.

David

What did you dislike most about doing the show?

Aviva

The amount of hours of filming required and my inability to explain myself.

David

What did you enjoy most about doing the show?

Aviva

So much! Helping amputees and physically challenged  on a large scale has been most rewarding. Having a front row seat and a back stage pass to a phenomenal  piece of pop culture has been riveting.

David

When someone mentions Ramona Singer what comes to mind?

Aviva

No comment. Sorry- I am done with that drama.

David

Out of all the housewives on Bravo who is your favorite?

Aviva

That's like asking me to pick a favorite child! I really like Luann, Carole and heather the most.

David

Lindsay Mannering from The Stir magazine called you a jerk and compared you to Teresa Giudice. What do you have to say about that?

Aviva

She did? Wow. Teresa makes great television!  I must have cause quite a stir then! At times I did behave like a jerk. I have since apologized, explained my actions and vowed never to behave that way again. This constitutes a genuine apology. I have met Teresa. We are very different from one another. I think Teresa is far more interesting to watch on television. I am a bit of a bore. Too straight.

David

What regrets do you have?

Aviva

I regret flying off the handle especially  based on hearsay. With my dramatic antics, the punishment didn't fit the "crime."  I also regret how my anxiety and leg situation were portrayed and my part in the overemphasis on both.

David

What is the ulitmate message you what to convey to the world?

Aviva

I would like to convey to the world that Love is life and life is love!!!
