Donations collected at the door will benefit victims of the shootings at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.  In a recent Facebook post, Queercore pioneer Chris Freeman (GayC/DC Pansy Division) said “As long as this keeps happening, as long as our brothers and sisters keep being bullied, taunted, tortured and brutally murdered here and all over the world, I will keep being as out as I can. Today and every day, I will continue to fight for our rights as HUMAN BEINGS to be treated equally and to live without fear of those who live in fear.”

GayC/DC has a history with the Viper Room, as they were the first Sunset Strip Club to book this all gay tribute to AC/DC. They also just wrapped the first ever all gay, all gay musicians, all gay local talent for TWO nights during Pride week end at their venue, to huge success.  Near capacity crowds for both nights!  That's never been done at any Sunset Strip club before.

The Viper Room stands with it's LGBT Community in addressing the hate and violence that has rained down on LGBT people, and will not stop until ALL are treated equally.

Brian Welch, drummer with GayC/DC says: " We were devastated to hear the Orlando news when we finished our set at the Viper Room. We were heartbroken, angry, and frustrated that yet again, easily accessible assault weapons were used to instill fear, and murder innocent people, all gathered in a club to celebrate life and love, just as we had done. We realized that it could've just as easily been any of us that night. And when news broke that a suspect had been arrested on his way into West Hollywood with weapons and explosives with intent to do harm to Pride festival goers, I reached my breaking point. And at the same time, the Viper Room reached out to us, wanting to do something. So we came up with Highway To Help, and enlisted our friends Gretchen Bonaduce, Cherie Currie and the Streetwalkin' Cheetahs to help us raise money for the victims of the shooting.

100% of all monies raised at the door will go to benefit Equality Florida and theirGoFundMe page that is dedicated to getting dollars straight the victim's families.  We couldn't be more proud of the support we've already received from artists, friends, and fans.  We're humbled by all the love that has been shown, and our heavy hearts feel just a bit lighter today."

"We come together in love and tribute for the victims and families of Orlando. We stand with you in the hope to ease your suffering, to contribute so you know, you are not alone. We hold you in our hearts." -Cherie Currie

"As a citizen of this planet, I think your human responsibility is to respond when tragedy strikes our nation and pull together to help others who are suffering.  The unimaginable horror that took place at Pulse night club in Orlando is difficult to imagine.  When Brian Welch from the band GayC/DC approached me to help pull this together for the victims families, I  didn't hesitate to get involved and do everything I could to facilitate this event."-Gretchen Bonaduce
