Entertainment Factory Begins Production of Mob Comedy Garlic & Gunpowder

Rick Finkelstein and Steven Chase (Producers of How Sweet It Is, Paulie, Bus Driver and Death House) of Entertainment Factory confirmed they are in Pre-Production of another star-studded film.  “Garlic & Gunpowder” is a Mob comedy, being directed by and starring Leo Rossi (Analyze This, 10th & Wolf), also stars: Steven Chase (Shut Up & Kiss Me, How Sweet It Is and Bus Driver), Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos, Goodfellas), William Forsythe (Once Upon a Time in America, Raising Arizona) Lanie Kazan (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and Scott L. Schwartz (Ocean’s 11, 12,13, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Castle).

 

According to Finkelstein and Chase, The key to making multiple films and making them great, is to team up with the right people and that is what they have done with Tony Opedisano and Michael Guarnera of Winbrook Entertainment and experienced crew members such as  Buz Wallick and Van White.  “What we have done, is to assemble a Production Team that has the synergy of Family and the precision of a well-oiled machine", says Finkelstein.

 

“Garlic & Gunpowder” tells the story of two mob wanabees Sonny and Archie, good-hearted but aging L.A. Gangsters that have never received the respect they think they deserve.  Even their own Mothers treat them with disdain.  Sent on a spurious errand by L.A. Mob Boss “Basco the Tabasco”, Sonny and Archie find themselves caught-up in a web of double-cross and subterfuge between Basco, “Ling-Ling the Wussy”, a Chinese Mob Boss, and the FBI.  With the aid of childhood friends, Fat Eva and Jimmy Two-Times and a cast of colorful characters, Sonny and Archie unknowingly outwit the Mob, FBI and CIA.  Sonny and Archie save the day and prove that friendship and being buddies lasts forever.
