The main focus of the Austin Texas Television Festival is to bring together fans and lovers of television and people involved with promotion, pitching, and creating a learning experience for the attendees. The weekend of the ATX TV Festival consists of events where attendees can interact with actors, writers, directors, creators, showrunners, music supervisors, casting directors, and studio executives involved in all stages of bringing their favorite series to the small screen and to the big screen of a movie theater during the ATX TV Festival (Alamo Drafthouse Ritz 320 E. 6th St and Paramount & State Theatre 719 Congress Ave). The beauty of the ATX TV Festival is that they spotlight classic shows, never aired pilots, series that were cancelled too soon, cult favorites, current hits, and premieres of new series.  In addition, just like a film festival, they have screenings followed by Q&A’s with the cast and creators. There are panels focused on industry related topics like streaming and innovative outlets to continue production outside of the network/studio system. Finally, there are the delightful parties, live music, meet-ups, social media events, and “super secret happy hours.” Follow and stay tuned with ATX TV Festival on Twitter @ATXFestival and Facebook here.
