I joined the U.S. Army from Puerto Rico when I was 17years old, active duty. While I was in the Army, I studied full-time at nights and eventually obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Government & International Politics w/a minor in Legal Studies. I wanted to work for
The Department of State or one of the other Government agencies, but I also secretly wanted to sing and act.
One weekend I decided to take an acting workshop, in Washington D.C. (Military District of Washington),which was my last duty station. There I also worked at The Pentagon twice a week, in processing new soldiers that would just arrive to D.C. So, this Acting Workshop
"WEEKEND" changed my life. I realized being an artist was truly what I wanted to be & that eventually I had to follow my heart and head to LosAngeles, without really knowing much about it. So I did it!
I've been in Los Angeles acting consistently and recently started singing & only after about 3 months of recording my own music independently, I got a deal with a label (
Dauman Music/Universal Music Group) for a single, which the last mixes are being done right now.
I feel very fortunate and blessed with all of the great experiences I've had, even the ones some people might consider "bad."
I've also been tackling writing and producing. I wrote, produced and acted in a short film called
"Second Sense" that's being edited right now. I'm on a fifth re-write of a feature film screenplay and have been writing a possible book.
Due this year, I'll be in feature films "
He's Just NotThat Into You" (w/Drew Barrymore), "Not Forgotten"(w/actors Simon Baker & Paz Vega), "The Platform"(w/William Forsythe), "Irene In Time" (w/director Henry Jaglom) & guest-starring on this upcoming last season of TV series "
The Shield."
I was recently seen on TV series
"Everybody Hates Chris" and in feature film
"Illegal Tender".
Also, my independent songs are on I tunes, available for the public to buy!
