Imagine having the innate ability to easily segue from a role in a dark comedy to portraying a character in a critically-lauded period piece. Only a year after relocating to Los Angeles, Alexandra Ella has earned roles in Tony Shalhoub’s five-time Emmy winning Monk and most recently, a recurring role in Matthew Weiner’s critically acclaimed, four-time Golden Globe and eight-time Emmy winning, Mad Men. She won the role of ‘Clara’ over hundreds of competing actresses.

Starting as an extra in feature films like Brave New World, starring Peter Gallagher and Can’t Hardly Wait, starring Jennifer Love-Hewitt , Alexandra’s acting capabilities have garnered industry recognition. With every audition, she wins over casting directors with her memorable looks and intuitive acting versatility. Working alongside SAG winner Vincent Kartheiser (‘Pete Campbell’ ) and Golden Globe winner Jon Hamm (‘Don Draper’ ) in Mad Men, Alexandra’s role as “Clara” is the pivotal coup of forthcoming roles that will make her a household name. This year, Mad Men is poised to win more awards than any other dramatic series at the 2010 Emmys, having received 17 nominations.

In 2008, Alexandra decided to become a California resident and began acting full time, enrolling in classes at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and attending casting workshops. She began booking work immediately.

Alexandra’s foreseeable goal of merging her childhood interest in sciences with her current aspiration for quality characters is leading her towards her dream role in a Sci-fi oriented project. Alexandra’s objective is to follow in the footsteps of those she admires most including Cate Blanchett. She would love to work with artists like Alan Rickman and Timothy Olyphant.
