The holiday season is the perfect time of the year to gift wrap a special bottle of spirits to give that gift that can make for some great memories. Even better, you can take those spirits, make some amazing cocktails and invite all of your friends over for a memorable party.
When it comes to amaretto there is DISARONNO and then there is everyone else. Who would not want to wake up Christmas morning to a gift set of DISARONNO and to make it even better we have included some amazing holiday cocktail recipes for you to try your hand at.
1 ½ ounces Dewars White Label
1 bar spoon of honey
¾ ounce lemon juice
3-4 ounces hot water
1 cinnamon stick cracked
In a mixing glass add one cracked cinnamon stick, lemon juice, bar spoon of honey, DISARONNO, and 2 ounces of hot water. Stir contents until honey has properly dissolved. Pour contents into toddy glass or wine goblet. Add 1or 2 more ounces of hot water, and garnish with a twist of lemon oil on top.
1 ounce aged rum, whiskey or cognac
1 ounce DISARONNO
1 heaping bar spoon of pumpkin pie mix
½ ounce heavy cream
1 whole egg
Place all ingredients into a mixing glass. Dry shake (shake without ice so as to “whip” the ingredients together). Then shake again with ice. Strain into a rocks glass without any ice. Top with freshly grated cinnamon.
DISARONNO APPLE COBBLER
2 parts DISARONNO
1 part cranberry juice
1 part apple juice
¼ part fresh lemon juice
In a rocks glass, mix ingredients over ice. Garnish with an apple slice.
¾ ounce rye whiskey
¾ ounce DISARONNO
¾ ounce full bodied red wine
¾ ounce orange juice
¾ ounce lemon juice
freshly grated cinnamon
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into desired glass. Top with fresh cinnamon. For an additional kick, infuse the DISARONNO with 2 cinnamon sticks and 10 cloves overnight.

3/4 ounces Baileys with a hint of Hazelnut
1/2 ounce Zacapa Rum 23
1/2 ounce Orange Liqueur
Pinch of Ground Cloves
1. Combine Baileys with a hint of Hazelnut, Zacapa Rum 23 and orange liqueur in a cocktail shaker. Shake.
2. Strain into a coupe glass
3. Garnish with a wedge of orange sprinkled with ground cloves

SPICED ORANGE SMASH
1 ½ ounces Hennessy VS
¾ ounces Velvet Falernum
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 heaping tablespoon orange marmalade
½ ounce fresh lemon juice
Add all liquids to a shaker tin with ice. Shake until well-chilled. In a rocks glass, fine strain over fresh ice. Garnish with an orange twist.
1 cup Hennessy
½ cup Hennessy 10 Cane
2 ounces Grand Marnier
2 ounces Frangelico
¾ cup evaporated milk
1 ¼ cup coconut cream
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a blender, place all ingredients and lightly blend. Do not blend on a high speed to avoid creating foam. Leave in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours until chilled. Serve in punch glasses or rocks glasses, neat or over ice by preference. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
1 1/2 ounces Hennessy V.S
1/2 ounce Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka
1 ounce APPLE CIDER GASTRIQUE* (recipe to follow)
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Add all liquids to a glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled and top with grated cinnamon and an apple fan. Garnish with fresh grated cinnamon.
