The premier foodie event, Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit comes to Las Vegas on May 8-11, 2014. The eighth annual festival is a unique, four-day culinary extravaganza. The highlight of this culinary celebration is the Grand Tasting event on Friday, May 9 held in the picturesque Garden of the Gods pool oasis at Caesars Palace.
For the third consecutive year, restaurants representing The Forum Shops at Caesars will showcase their specialties in A Taste of The Forum at the Grand Tasting. Enjoy culinary, wine and cocktail offerings by eight impressive Forum Shops restaurants during the destination-wide culinary event including; Carmine's NYC's Family Style Italian Restaurant, Il Mulino New York, , The Palm Las Vegas, Trevi Italian Restaurant, Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, Sushi Roku and the soon-to-open Border Grill.
The Palm Las Vegas Executive Chef Kiko Ojeda will be serving up Sliced Prime NY Steak served on a crostini with horseradish and Lobster Bisque. Chef Haruhiko Takeshita of Sushi Roku will be offering samples of Tuna Tartare and Fluke Kumquat Sashimi. First-time participant Trevi Italian Restaurant will serve their popular Insalata Caprese. In addition to its Signature Meatballs, Carmine's NYC's Family Style Italian Restaurant will also offer Eggplant Parmiagana. Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab will be serving up a Prime NY Strip Oscar, Seared Scallop and Braised Pork Belly along with mini Key Lime pies. Executive Chef Eric Klein of Spago will spotlight and serve Stir Fried Lamb in Lettuce cups with a cilantro-mint vinaigrette.
Opening in The Forum Shops this summer, Border Grill Chef/Owners Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, of Bravo's "Top Chef Masters" and Food Network's "Too Hot Tamales," will be offering Scallop Tiradito with Spring Peas and Chorizo Tater Tots with smoked chili aioli and spicy Bloody Maria shooter.
Set amidst the dazzling and dramatic five-acre Garden of the Gods pool complex at Caesars Palace, the Grand Tasting will feature more than 50 award-winning chefs and more than 100 of the best wines and spirits from around the world.
