Valentine's Day Drink Guide - Make a Toast to Love

Valentine's Day is a night that most people want to take their loved one out on the town. This year plan a romantic evening at home with some amazing drink recipes that are sure to ignite any relationship.

There are drinks for every person and every encounter, but feel free to use them even after Valentine's Day is over.

On the prowl this Valentine’s Day?  Keep things wild and mysterious by enjoying one of the following cocktails, made with Lucid Absinthe.  Not only are they delicious, these drinks double as clever conversation starters.  Didn’t know Lucid was the brand responsible for lifting the absinthe ban back in 2007?  We bet that cute guy or girl you’ve been chatting with didn’t either.  Happy hunting!
 

For Him:

Absinthe Attraction

1.5 oz Lucid Absinthe

2 oz Russian Standard Vodka


 
For Her:


Violet Femme


1 oz    Lucid Absinthe

1 oz    Lucid Absinthe


1 oz    Raspberry Liqueur


1 oz    Lemonade or sour mix


2 oz    Ginger Ale

1        Lemon Wedge

Toasting a new relationship:
There are few things as exciting as the start of a new relationship but when those butterflies hit and your knees start to shake, calm your nerves with one of the following cocktails.  The secret ingredient here is Russia’s number one premium vodka, the always smooth Russian Standard.  Take a sip, relax and drink in all that budding romance.


 
For Him:

Standard Bleu

2 oz Russian Standard


Splash of Dry Vermouth


Splash of olive brine

Standard Bleu


Shake ingredients gently over ice. Strain and serve in a chilled martini glass. Garnish with bleu cheese olives.


 
For Her:


Russian Romance

1.5 oz Russian Standard Vodka


Splash of lemon juice


2 oz Pomegranate Juice

Garnish with a mint leaf or a lemon twist

Mix up one of the following drinks, toast your other half and watch the night heat up! This rum is sure to become one of your favorites with a rich flavor that makes it the perfect mixer.

Nica Libre


2 oz Flor de Caña 7 Year Grand Reserve Rum

4 oz Coca Cola


For Her:


Eternal Bliss


1 oz Flor de Caña 7 Year Rum


2 oz White Cranberry Juice

½ the juice of a fresh lemon

THE LOVE BOT

3-4 oz of SVEDKA


4 drops of Rose Water


4 crushed up pink peppercorns (or pinch of cayenne pepper)


1-2 oz agave nectar

1-2 of grenadine

1-2 oz of champagne

Build: Add SVEDKA, Rose Water, agave and grenadine, shake vigorously. Pour in champagne flute and top with champagne, sprinkle pink peppercorns.

LOVE CLONE

(Serves two)


2 parts SVEDKA Vanilla


1 part Crème de Menthe


1 part lemon juice


1 part lime juice


1 tsp sugar


Build: Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously for 5 seconds. Strain into a glass filled with ice.

PEARL FLUSH


From Abe & Arthur’s Restaurant in NYC


2 oz Plymouth Gin


1 oz St. Germain


1 oz Moscato Blanco


Build: Add all ingredients, except Moscato. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Top with Moscato. Garnish with a single petal of a red rose.

THE BLOSSOM

2 dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters


1 oz Monin Rose Syrup


1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice


1 oz Pasteurized Egg Whites


1 oz Rose Water


1 oz Cointreau


1 oz Cognac


Build: Add all ingredients to a mixing glass. Dry shake vigorously. Add ice and shake until cold. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish: Rim glass with blend of Rose Dust, Lemon Zest and Fine Sugar.

FLIRTY BOT

2 parts SVEDKA Raspberry


1 part Raspberry Liquer


1 part cranberry juice


1 part sour mix

Build: Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Pour into a glass and garnish with a lime wedge or fresh raspberries.
