29th Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show –The Industry Changing Show of 2014

The 29th Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show wowed attendees again with another lineup of everything and anything industry related to make sure that attendees would never end up on “Bar Rescue.” From Jon Taffer tips, to the latest in technology along with cocktails that wowed consumers, it was all on-hand at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Before there was a famed “Bar Rescue” for television viewers to get addicted to, Jon Taffer created the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show as a way to bring this massive industry together and it has grown from a few small booths to what has become an extravaganza. The Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show is more than just the convention floor, it has grown an event that is filled with celebrities, classes to help attendees grow their business and some of the biggest parties on the Las Vegas Strip.

The event is home to more than 37,000 nightlife operators, managers and industry enthusiasts, there is no conference that brings so many influential people together in one setting. The information provided was invaluable as the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show lined up amazing speakers such as Gail Goodman, CEO of Constant Contact, who was able to share her insight on how small businesses create and grow relationships with their customers. Jon made his keynote presentation: RaiseThe Bar on Wednesday and in addition there were several Bar Rescue sessions throughout the event including; Going Above and Beyond Behind the Bar, One Tequila, Two Tequila, 10?, Raising Profits with Pizza, all featuring noted experts and who could pass up on the Bar Rescue: Where Are They Now? session to find out what is going on with past Bar Rescue participants.

Pabst Blue Ribbon Booth

Jon kicked of the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday that also included Adam Carolla and City of Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman. While Jon has his calendar filled with the ribbon cutting, red carpet festivities and taking part in classes, he also found time to get awarded for all of his hard work over the years. Jon was awarded a gold trophy and a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Platinum Party at XS Las Vegas, which also received accolades as they were ranked the number one club in the Top 100 and the first venue to ever achieve the honor four times.

Blow Hookah

Baileys Vanilla Cinnamon

In addition to all of the parties and chances to hear from some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry, just walking the convention floor was a treat all by itself. What a fun opportunity to try the latest products from some of the biggest names around; everyone loved taking a Baileys Birthday Cake shot made with their Vanilla Cinnamon and who could pass up the latest Miller product, “Fortune” and the glass and free beer that awaited you at local Las Vegas venues. You could try out hookah from Blow Hookah, which was made for Las Vegas with their amazing hookah setup. A candy that can give you an energy boost, that is exactly what Energems! They come in three tasty flavors, chocolate, mint and peanut butter and three pieces will not only take care of your sugar craving but they will give you the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee. If you are tired of trying to find an outlet to charge your phone, Charge Daddy was showing off the charging station that can be put in your bar and you just lock your phone up in a box and charge away safely. How could you not be taken aback by the amazing Pabst Blue Ribbon dunking booth that stole the show and with it their beautiful spokes models. There were plenty of beautiful women at nearly every booth, but not often are you going to find ones with a painted on bikini like you did here. In addition to all of that we had few favorites from the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show that were worth a mention.

Ole Smokey Moonshine

Ole Smoky® Tennessee Moonshine made one of the biggest impressions of the event not only with their amazing booth, but also a moonshine that reminded you of anything but moonshine. Making their debut at the event, the Ole Smoky crew served up amazing cocktails created by mixologist Shane McKnight, Director of Mixology at Best Beverage Catering and the Resident Mixologist at major music festivals including Coachella, Outside Lands and Life Is Beautiful. Some of the cocktails included; Tennessee Mule (Ole Smoky White Lightnin'™, ginger beer, Bitters & fresh lime); Mountain Apple (Ole Smoky White Lightnin’, Ole’ Smoky Apple Pie™, cranberry juice & 7-up); Shine N Seven (Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine & 7-up); Blackberry Lemonade (Blackberry Moonshine & lemonade) and the perfect brunch cocktail, the Rise N’ Shine (Your choice of White’ Lightnin’ OR Ole Smoky® Original Moonshine, bloody mary mix, horseradish, Angostura bitters and pickle brine). Tippy Cow

Tippy Cow was a liqueur that could only come from the creative minds in Wisconsin, and because you need Wisconsin cows to create it. This amazing rum and cream paired liqueur was the most addictive drink of the event with four tasty flavors; chocolate, orange cream, shamrock mint and vanilla soft serve. You can just imagine how creative you can get with these flavors and needless to say that the shamrock mint was a huge hit this past St. Patrick’s Day. For more information visit Tippy Cow.

Liquid Nitro

The energy drinks were flowing as well as the liquor, but Liquid Nitro Beverages stole the show with a drink that is actually created with super anti-oxidant fruits such as acai berry and mangosteen. You are going to love the ingredient list but even more so you are going to love the flavor and the fact you are not going to crash like you would after drinking most other energy drinks. The shot versions are also great, the Liquid Nitro Energy Shooter is perfect to get through those long nights in Vegas and then the Lean shooter will help your body lose some of those extra pounds from all of that decadent food you ate. For more information visit Liquid Nitro.

Vulcan Ale

The Federation of Beer spent the event trying to invade the United States from Canada with their Star Trek themed beer. The debut beer from the Federation of Beer was the Vulcan Ale, Irish Red style ale brewed to celebrate Vulcan Alberta's 2013 centennial celebrations. This small Canadian town holds an annual Star Trek convention — Spock Days and this is where the founders met and decided that Star Trek deserved its own beer. For more information visit Federation of Beer.

Stellar Joe Coffee

Stellar Joe was showing off their “fresh squeezed beans” coffee that will change the way you pour your first cup in the morning. Great coffee with no grounds, no filters and now brewing, this is a pretty amazing concept that will take all of the work out of brewing your coffee. Stellar Joe Coffee gets all of its amazing flavor from the all natural coffee extract that it uses and it comes in at less than .25 cents per cup. For more information visit Stellar Joe Coffee.
