What was the biggest challenge of the beginning of your career?

The biggest struggle was realizing that even after 7 years in the industry, I was still just in the beginning stages of my career. I had set goals for myself as a young kid and the amount of time I thought it would take to get there might have been slightly over ambitious. I have definitely been humbled by the struggle and hard work that went into the first 7-10 years of my career.

What are your challenges now?

Now my challenges consist of not letting myself second guess my ability to accomplish this goal I've set. I have to remember to believe as much in myself now as I did as a young dreamer. I've also had to sacrifice a lot of time, relationships, and fun plans to stay on the path to success and it's not usually easy for me.

What were some of your goals when you first started?

When I first started modeling I wanted, like most girls, to just WALK in a pair of Angel wings… I have always thought that the Victoria's Secret girls exuded honest, natural beauty and confidence and I was so inspired watching them walking down the runway.

Have they changed at all?

After some time in the industry, my goals changed. I expect a lot from myself and my career. I personally have developed a love for acting and have set a goal for myself to work on perfecting those skills, aiming to be respected and rewarded by other actors.

Have you ever been discouraged?

Every day in this industry you are discouraged by another new, beautiful, talented girl who is just as deserving as you; But it also pushes you that much harder to be better.

What made you decide to go into music?

I didn't have the easiest life, and music was one thing that made me feel like someone actually understood what I was going through. I really wanted to be a part of that and give that gift to someone else who might need my word in that one moment.

How long have you been singing for?

My dad tells me that I sang before I put my first sentence together.

What is one character trait in people that you can't stand?

I can't stand people who act like they are better or more deserving than someone else.

What is one necessary quality in a friend?

Don't pretend to be what you think I want you to be, be real. Be honest.

Who/What inspires you the most?

The natural sunlight in Los Angeles always sparks something in me. My younger brother and two sisters inspire me more than anything.
