As a recording artist, songwriter, television host and recently adding the title of producer to her substantial resume, American recording artist Maria Cozette is a name worth remembering.
Having received successful reviews and acclamation for her EP Special Delivery in 2007, which she wrote and co-produced, Cozette accumulated over 4 million plays for her song In the City on iHeart radio nationally. As a result she gained an international fan base and was dubbed as a prominent independent artist.
Following her EP of 2007, Cozette released her second album entitled Born Ready in November of 2011. Before the release of Born Ready, she traveled to Armenia to which she was set to perform in two headlining televised concerts. Determined to show her songwriting abilities, she wrote all tracks and executive produced the album. As well as working with producers, engineers in post production and producing both music videos.
Staying true to her Soulful Pop genre and dynamic spirits, Cozette has done an astounding job resonating with her audience. Selling thousands of copies worldwide for her compilation, Cozette once again was presented with impeccable reviews from international media outlets.
It is safe to say that Cozette was destined for success at an early age. At the mere age of 4 she performed her first televised solo performance and, safe to say, burst into the spotlight. Aside from her fascinating voice and talented writing, she is also a gifted dancer having studied ballet for 15 years. Cozette also has partaken in vocal training, solfege, theater and the piano.
With sweet melodic acoustics mixed with engaging beats in a semi upbeat Roses in 99 to love-struck lyrics backed by a soulful piano in I Love You, Maria Cozette’s vocals shine like a beam of light in her upcoming album The Light of Day, making it impossible to resist listening.
Cozette is set to release her third studio album, The Light of Day in June 2014.
As a youth advocate, Cozette was stunned by the lack of young Armenians watching American television. Driven to reach out and educate Armenian youth on their rich cultural arts, Cozette created the first Armenian show on all American networks, Music Box.
Deemed as one of the most popular programs on Armenian Television, Music Box provides Armenian Americans the opportunity to promote their work in entertainment and to stream the latest music videos. Music Box with Maria Cozette airs a fresh new episode every week.
Catch Cozette on Music Box and don’t miss the release of her new album The Light of Day.
