"Peace 4 Animals"
I think it is important that the women featured be involved in their communities as a positive role model, and most importantly, give back to our precious earth. I am a leader in the animal welfare community in Los Angeles and have raised tens of thousands www.peace4animals.com).
The vision of Peace 4 Animals is to have a world that lives in harmony with all animals around the globe and protect them from abuse and neglect. We work to rescue, rehabilitate, and find forever homes for all of our rescues. We also help wild and exotic animals all around the world and are working to restore the endangered species population to normal, specifically wild tigers of which there are only 2,500 left in the wild. The depletion of such species comes from greed, deforestation, poachers, the fur trade and many other factors - all of which are human related.
Along with Peace 4 Animals, I have many projects in the works to be launched in the fall of 2012. Some of which include The Documentary “Give Me Shelter” which I executive produced. It is about the people who dedicate their lives to rescuing domestic, wild and exotic animals and take care of them for the rest of their lives. I am producing the star-studded fundraiser in October 2012 called “Stars 4 Stripes” to save the last of the remaining wild tigers on our planet in India. I am currently working on the environmental educational act (http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/227/837/923/) and obtaining one million signatures to bring to congress in 2013 so that children all over our country can be better educated in proper environmental conservation, the importance of protecting our wildlife and endangered species, and protecting our natural world through recycling, reusing and reducing. I am in the process of writing a book about animal welfare and plan to have it finished in January of 2013.
I grew up in Chicago and have always been a sports fan. Being in the windy city when the Bulls were at the top of their game and Michael Jordan ruled basketball was the highlight of my youth. I earned a college track scholarship in college for high jump and sprinting and have a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing.
My background is Sicilian from my mother’s side and Irish from my father’s side which makes for a dynamic mixture. From my passion for helping our planets animals, my animal organization, philanthropic track history, strength, drive and determination to make a difference in this world. I feel like I have the perfect mixture of what it takes to make a difference in this world.
