It has been just under a year since we first introduced Emilee Bee as new talent to the LA scene so we decided to catch up with her and we are tickled yellow and black that we did! In the last 10 months, Bee has been buzzing all over the city and had lot of exciting news to share with us.
Two months ago, Bee was cast in a new 12 episode TV series that will be airing on the We Network (part of AMC) called America’s It Girl. The reality style show has been likened to a cross between America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway with an intention on showcasing, intelligent, healthy, ambitious, empowered young women.
Each model has partnered with a designer to create three looks specific to the model’s unique brand in addition to incorporating elements of the design theme of 1940’s Hollywood Glamour. The show is being filmed simultaneously in Los Angeles and New York with a projected air date of Winter 2014.
Throughout the competition the models have been challenged to build their brand via social media networks and partnering with established brands, businesses and individuals that are synergistic with their image. In a “honeycomb” the Emilee Bee Brand embodies health/wellness and fitness of mind, body and spirit, eco-consciousness/animals as teachers and BEEing your Truth.
In just one month since the inception of her Facebook brand page, Bee has already accumulated over 1,000 likes www.facebook.com/emileebeebrand, taken her activity on instagram and twitter to a new level (@yogibee8), solicited a new website on a pro bono basis (stay tuned as it will not be active for another month or so www.emileebee.com) and most notably has acquired two corporate sponsorships for the competition!
When we met Emilee, she disclosed that her first ever photo shoot was at Reebok International Headquarters in Canton, MA while she was still working in the Global Media Department. It was this experience that catalyzed her to pursue modeling as a career and she could not be happier to announce REEBOK as one of her official sponsor for the America’s It Girl Competition. As a yoga teacher and fitness enthusiast with a focus in health and wellness Reebok is a perfect fit for the Emilee Bee Brand and she is so thankful for their endless support. #livewithfire
With Eco-Consciousness playing an integral role in the Emilee Bee Brand and her recent purchase of a Habanero Colored 2013 Toyota Prius lovingly named Halo, she is full of sparkles to make public her official sponsorship from Toyota of Hollywood! Proud to be partnered with the first Toyota dealership in the nation, Emilee is looking forward to great enterprises as a brand ambassador for Toyota.
With just one week left before the final e, Bee remains steadfast on the competition website as one of the Top Ten contestants.
