Black Hi-Lighter Affair Residency Kick Off

Date: April 3, 2014

The Black Hi-Lighter Affair, a conceptual music event that combines LA's best bands with nationally touring acts, will launch the new residency on Thu. 4/3 at the Belasco Theater in Downtown LA. Eponymously hosted by Highland Park's glitter-garage pysch rockers, Black Hi-Lighter, the series, is a chance to see incredible musicians in an intimate, stimulating environment.

Joining Black Hi-Lighter (9:30pm) on the stage at the inaugural event will be buzzed-about acts Psychic Love (8:30pm), The Moth & the Flame (10:30pm), and Seven Saturdays (11:30pm).

Fronted by explosive lead singer James Poulos, Black Hi-Lighter features Grammy-winning producer/engineer Eric Liljestrand on guitar, Dave Wright on bass, and Mark Reback on drums. The band, which thrives on an unpredictable DIY ethic, is set to broaden a devoted LA fan-base with the Belasco residency, where Black Hi-Lighter will bring kindred acts from across the country to the stage in the months to come.

Sound proudly sponsored by Swing House Studios. Doors open at 8:00pm.
