Date: June 15, 2014

The 22nd Annual Pasadena Chalk Festival, named as the World’s Largest Street Painting Festival by Guinness World Record™ in 2010, welcomes more than 600 artists from Southern California and beyond. Talented artists will utilize 25,000 sticks of pastel chalk to create spectacular murals on the pavement encompassing two city blocks at Paseo Colorado shopping center. Amazing works-of-art in every style imaginable from classical to contemporary to socially relevant will be created and shown over the course of Father’s Day Weekend and viewed by 100,000 visitors.

The Pasadena Chalk Festival benefits the community arts programs of the Light Bringer Project, ( a Pasadena-based, non-profit arts organization founded by local residents who were interested in the role the arts, architecture and design played in the growth and development of their community.

Guests of all ages are invited to watch artists at work, enjoy live music, shop and dine during the two-day festival. KID’S CHALKLAND will be an area where kids can make Father’s Day cards for dad. There will also be a Pasadena Police Classic Car Show on Sunday from 10am to 3pm.

The weekend event is FREE and open to the public.
