The best way to experience spring in the USA is to go to a place like the Twin Cities where the winters are long and spring is so welcomed. Their unsurpassed May Day parade is a Rite of Spring that should go on EVERYONE's calendar
As I write this I am still in awe. As a matter of fact, I have been in awe since I pulled in to the valet stand at the Grand Hyatt Kauai. To say the entrance is beautiful would not do it any justice. The entrance into the hotel is mesmerizing
We began the journey in a large, comfortable, air conditioned van and after picking up a few more people, headed towards the volcanoes. Hawaii is comprised of 5 volcanoes. On the tour, we learned about three of the volcanoes: Mauna Loa (long mountain), Mauna Kea (white mountain), and Mauna Kilauea (spewing mountain). It was so interesting to learn how the island was formed

We enjoyed our time exploring the waterfront restaurants and activities so much that we hated to leave The Radisson Hotel Fisherman's Wharf, Winner of Carlson Hotels 2012 Renovation Award, and look forward to returning soon
